Contact Types

Contact types allow you to group Learndot Enterprise Contacts by their interaction with the application. Setting a contact type grants access to features such as the administration or Instructor Interface.


Overview of Contact Types

Available contact types are summarised in the following table.

Role

Description

Contact

Generic user within the system (may or may not have a login).

Member

Has username and password and is able to login to the application and access their My Account page.

Customer

Anyone who has been marked as a lead OR has an opportunity, talent placement, customer order, etc.

Participant

A contact who has registered for a course.

Affiliate

Contact that has a profile associated with the account which gets assigned a unique code for referrals. Affiliates get access to the affiliate interface.

Provider

Every event (class) is associated with a provider. Providers get access to the provider interface.

Expert

Can have an expert profile on the site, can be selected as an instructor for a course.

Staff

Staff users can be configured to receive notifications and have certain roles (permissions) for the back end administration.
