Talent Opportunities

Overview


Talent opportunities is an entity made for tracking experts that can lead to a Talent Placement. It also can be described as a module made for tracking future opportunities that can lead to future engagements, providing the opportunities for customers to request private classes with special requests. Talent opportunities can be created by a customer special request or by an administrator. 

Talent Opportunity Stages

As a tracking mechanism for possible experts and instructors, talent opportunities have different stages explained in the following table.

Opportunity with chances of being converted in talent placement.

WonOpportunity won and ready to be processed in an talent placement.
LostOpportunities that got lost for several reason like competition, can't deliver, over budget, don't know or other reason.
BogusSpams, pranks or fake talent opportunities.


Creating a talent opportunity from front end

Instructions to follow by any customer who wants to create a talent opportunity from user front-end:

  • Login to Learndot with a Customer account
    If logged out, a new account will be created in the process.
  • Navigate to /talent/request.html
  • Provide customer contact information if you are a new user. Fields will be pre-filled if you are already logged in


  • Provide Talent needs details


  • Submit

  • When providing talent needs details, you can request for (a) specific skill(s). The skill(s) must exist first, created by a staff member in /wiki/spaces/DEV/pages/45121538.
  • If the knowledge category is linked to a Questionnaire, the expert will have to answer it when applying to a Talent Opportunity. 
  • All contacts with Notification Subscription "Request for Talent" will receive an email for every request.

Viewing training opportunities from front end

In order to view all talent opportunities, navigate to <https://<your-company-name.trainingrocket.com>/talent/opportunities.html 

Important

In order to be listed:

  • The opportunity's parameter "published" must be set to true

  • A description must be written in "html description" opportunity's attribute


Creating a talent opportunity from admin dashboard

  • In the administrator dashboard
  • Go to Customers > Talent Opportunities
  • Click on the new button

  • Fill up the form

  • Click Save

Talent opportunities are displayed in the administrator dashboard under Customers > Talent Opportunities

Relationship with Talent Placements

Talent placement represent a commitment to work at the requesting company, commitment that comes from a talent opportunity. To lead a talent opportunity to a talent placement go to the Talent Placement section at the bottom of the talent opportunity page and create a new Talent Placement.


Training Opportunities Actions

The following table provides an overview of the Actions available on Training Opportunities.

  • Talent opportunities are displayed in the administrator dashboard under Customers > Talent Opportunities
  • Click on the view icon of one of the talent opportunities
  • Click on Email under Tasks, on the left sidebar

MainThe main section contains in which stage is the opportunity, value, contact who owns the talent opportunity and expected close date of the opportunity.
CustomerInformation of the contact and the organization related to the opportunity.
TalentInformation of the conditions that the expert needs, like start date, preferred location, estimated budget, etc.
CommentsShows all comments (e-mails) .
HistoryShows user system information such as creation date, modification date, etc.
Talent PlacementsShows all the talent placements result of the talent opportunity.

Expected Close DateDate that this opportunity is expected to become obsolete.
