Staff Notification Subscriptions

Overview


Notification subscriptions allow staff to receive emails when common Learndot events occur (such as a customer submitting a new order). Staff can subscribe to all or several notifications to receive. This tutorial will guide you through the process. 

Subscribing to Notifications

Contacts who have been configured as STAFF users will have access to a NOTIFICATIONS tab when accessing their accounts information in Learndot. This tab allows users to select the types of events they would like to be notified of by email.

Available Subscriptions

The notification feeds supported by Learndot include:

Notification Category
Description
SystemNotifications are sent when any errors experienced by the system. Includes stack traces and other technical information.
OrderNotifications are sent when an order of any type is submitted.
Product PurchaseNotifications are sent when any order line items of the type 'product' (i.e. purchasing a good/service) are purchased. Note that this means that if an order for three products comes in, you will receive three emails.
Registration PurchaseNotifications are sent when any order line items of the type 'registration' (i.e. purchasing a place on a course) are purchased. Note that the same logic is used here as for product items with regard to multiple emails from a single order.
Request for ContactNotifications are sent whenever the 'Request for contact' form is submitted.
Request for QuoteNotifications are sent whenever the 'Request for quote' form is submitted.
Request for ClassNotifications are sent whenever the 'Request for class' form is submitted.
Request for TalentNotifications are sent whenever the 'Request for talent' form is submitted.
eLearning Survey ResponseNotifications are sent whenever an eLearning survey is submitted.
Training Survey ResponseNotifications are sent whenever a post-training survey is submitted.
Training Assessment ResponseNotifications are sent whenever a training assessment is submitted.
Provider RegistrationNotifications are sent whenever a new provider is registered.
Affiliate RegistrationNotifications are sent whenever a new affiliate is registered.
Expert RegistrationNotifications are sent whenever a new expert is registered.
Member RegistrationNotifications are sent whenever a new member registers.
Timesheet SubmissionNotifications are sent whenever a timesheet is submitted by one of your experts.
Timesheet Approval

Notifications are sent whenever a timesheet has been approved.

Timesheet RejectionNotifications are sent whenever a timesheet has been rejected.
Talent Placement CreatedNotifications are sent whenever a talent placement is created.
Agreement SubmissionNotifications are sent whenever an agreement has been submitted.

Events

Notification subscriptions are associated with common events that occur in Learndot, such as a customer submitting an order or new member registration. When an event occurs, Learndot looks for all staff contacts who have subscribed for that notification and sends them an email notification. 

Email Templates

Each subscription uses a different email template to provide contextual information in the notification. For example, subscriptions to new member registrations use an email template which includes information about the contact such as their name, and links to access the contact in the Learndot administration.

Editing Contact Subscriptions

In addition to updating their own notification subscriptions, staff with CONTACT WRITE PERMISSION can edit subscriptions on behalf of other Contacts through the Learndot administration.

This can do so:

  • Login as an Administrator
  • Navigate to Customers > Contacts
  • Click on the Edit icon

  • Look for the Notification Subscription field under the Login heading
