Resources

    Digital Resources — Digital Resource consists of any content (such as .docx, .pdf, .exe) which is downloadable by a contact.

    Pages — Pages represents the non-core system pages used by Learndot.

    Stream Stream Posts are blog like feature that are posted to the landing page.

    Templates — Templates are entities with a main content area of Dynamic Content using Freemarker mark-up which define a view (or template) to be used throughout Learndot. Templates are used to create views for emails, certificates, public site sections, etc.

Training

The Training module is comprised of the entities that directly support the management and provisioning of training courses to customers.

    Assessments — Assessments are used to allow instructors to get a snapshot of the experience and expectations from Enrollments on their public classes. Assessments responses should usually be requested prior to a public class start date.

    Engagements — Engagements (Private Course Events) represent private training sessions purchased by organizations wishing to have a group of employees undertake a training course. Non-public classes are typically handled as Engagements.

    Events — Events represent Instructor Led Training taking place at a particular time, in a particular Location.

    Locations Learndot allows users to schedule classes at specific locations. Locations are the place where the class will take place, it helps to manage information such as site (online, onsite), time zone, capacity, food provided, and various other common attributes.

Certification

    Enrollments — Enrollments link Contacts with Learning Component such as course events, learning pathways or eLearning material. Enrollments contain no financial information (see Order Lines) and represent training a contact has participated in.

    Learning Pathways — A Learning Pathway is a structured sequence of training content which can consist of Courses and Learning Components.

    My Learning Plan A Learning Plan is an individual users plan for their learning. A Contact can add available items such as Courses or Learning Components to their learning plan and track their progress. Suggested Dates and Enrollment links are also provided for the user.

    Questionnaires — Questionnaires are used for evaluating potential talents to give classes. They are attached to a Knowledge Category, and the questionnaire is shown when a talent applies online with a skill that matches this knowledge category.

Customers

    Accounts (Organizations) — Accounts in Learndot Enterprise represent organizations. They are primarily used as a grouping mechanism for contacts. Viewing an organization entity allows you to see all the ContactsOrdersCourse Testimonials and Talent Placements that are associated with that organization.

    Contacts — Contacts in Learndot represent people.

    Leads — Leads is a module that is used to track communication with site visitors who contacts staff via the Contact Us page. Each lead entity is created for each contact occurrence.

    Orders — Orders represent a request from a contact for a product or other service (such as a training class). They are typically submitted by the contact through the front-end shopping cart but can also be manually created via a staff user.

    Talent — Learndot allows individual consultants and trainers to sign up and potentially become part of your extended team as Experts. The Talent module provides the functionality of being able to recruit external/freelance trainers and consultants, assign them to opportunities they have been deemed suitable for and calculate billing through the timesheets function.

    Talent Opportunities — Talent opportunities is an entity made for tracking experts that can lead to a Talent Placement. It also can be described as a module made for tracking future opportunities that can lead to future engagements, providing the opportunities for customers to request private classes with special requests. Talent opportunities can be created by a customer special request or by an administrator.

    Talent Placements — Talent placements are a form of engagement for experts, and represent a commitment to work at the requesting company. They are useful for scheduling and tracking consulting work, with the ability to log time-sheets and calculate billing information.

    Training Opportunities Training opportunities is a module made for tracking future opportunities that can lead to future engagements, providing the opportunity for customers to request private classes with special requests.

Setup

    Affiliates — Learndot allows companies to generate more interest in their their training courses and products by facilitating affiliate programs.

    Agreement Templates — The Agreements module provides features for creating agreement content and managing agreements with Contacts. Agreement content can be configured through templates (to produce privacy policies, EULAs or other terms and conditions) and issued to contacts for review.

    Labels — The system allows the user to create four types of Labels. This can be done by the Learndot Administrator. Which are:

    Location Features — Represents your training program's special features for the physical location of the training. This setting is per training location. Create a location then publicly display, or not, the features on the catalog page.

    Staff Roles & Permissions — Staff Role feature allows you to configure roles and permission sets for the contacts in Learndot.

    System Settings — System settings are used to control and configure behaviour of the Learndot application. If you need to change an aspect of Learndot's configuration, such as which fields are marked as required or what tax rate to use on courses, It will generally be achieved through modification of settings.

    Triggers — Triggers provide a way to schedule or configure automatic tasks (Actions) in Learndot. For example, triggers are commonly used to schedule class survey emails upon course completion.
