Configuring Available Languages
Overview
Scheduling an event in Learndot allows you to specify the language the training will be taught in. This list defaults to a standard set of languages but can be configured as outlined below.
System Setting
This system setting system.availableLanguages controls the list of languages that appears on Courses or Instructor Led Trainings (ILTs).
To edit this system setting:
- Login as an Administrator
- Navigating to System > Setup > System Settings
- Search for "system.availableLanguages", using the search bar at the top of the screen
- Click the Edit icon
We use Java's Locale. Below are the supported languages.
To add a language you need to add the Locale ID to the value filed on the System Setting between quotes.

Please note that you have two possibilities:
- You can add the first two letters of the Locale ID to display only Language. For example "zh" for Chinese
- You can also complement the Locale ID with the Country. For example for Simplified Chinese you can use "zh_CN" that will display Chinese China.
